Description

Born in England and raised in Montreal, Grier was a notable Canadian poet and artist. After beginning his career he travelled to Mexico in 1945 to study fresco painting and apprenticed under Diego Rivera as a plasterer.

In 1955 after travelling to Spain, Grier began writing poetry and transitioned to that art form because he felt that meaning was expressed more effectively though words.

We currently have another work by Griers longtime partner Sylvia Tait, and think these would make an incredible pair.
